Ability TestingAbility tests enable us to gain further information which cannot accurately be gained from other parts of the selection procedure, such as the interview. At SBS we use ability tests as part of our overall recruitment process. They give us a fair and objective assessment of your skills. Depending on the role, we may conduct ability testing in the areas of verbal comprehension, numerical reasoning, audio checking and information technology and other areas as appropriate. The tests are fair and relevant to the skills needed in the job and we have found in the past that people who do well in the tests tend to do well in the job. The information we gain from the tests, in conjunction with the information we gain from our interview with you, will be used for our final selection. We will not just be using the results from ability tests. All candidates are entitled to feedback on their ability tests. Human Resources will provide this feedback to applicants.
